Cinema continues to draw on the literary works of Stephen King, the Master of the Thrill. According to reports from Cinemablend in fact, screenwriter and director Jack Bender is working on a film adaptation of "Elevation", the short novel published in 2018.
During a recent interview with CinemaBlend, Jack Bender talked about the adaptation of the novel and how he has already presented Stephen King with the idea, not leaving out the changes he has made to the story: "I recently adapted a novel of his entitled "Elevation". We will turn it into a movie. I added a few things and was quite nervous because he had never read anything I had written. He had only seen the films I directed and produced. Needless to say, I was nervous about that but he liked it. He is very kind and knows that in an adaptation there are things that are added and things that are taken away. That's the way it works“.
Set in the fictional Castle Rock in Maine, "Elevation" is a novel of about 150 pages and contains chapter illustrations by Mark Edward Geyer, who previously illustrated Stephen King's first editions, "Rose Madder" e "The Green Mile“.
“Elevation" is the story of Scott Carey, a man who keeps losing weight mysteriously. His appearance has not changed one iota, yet despite the worry, Scott is happy.
