dylanAfter countless important film works (Red Krokodil and Doll Syndrome, just to name a couple) and brand new titles such as the third installment of the saga inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe (P.O.E. 3 Pieces Of Eldritch) e Phantasmagoria, prolific and talented Italian director Domiziano Cristopharo announces his new film paying homage to Dylan Dog.

The hero created by Tiziano Sclavi returns to the screens once again thanks to this fan movie in which an exceptional team will take part, including the names of Domiziano Cristopharo, Andrea Cavaletto (screenwriter of the independent Chilean horror Hidden in the Woods and current screenwriter of the same Dylan Dog published by Sergio Bonelli Editore and Martin Mystère), Roberto Recchioni (current editor of Dylan Dog), Pasquale Ruju (Dylan Dog screenwriter) and actors Stefano Cassetti and Veronica Gentili.

Directing will be Domiziano Cristopharo, whose works have received awards at festivals such as To-Horror, Fantastique Samain du Cinema, Fantafestival and Night Of Horror finding distribution for international labels such as Brain Damage, Edel, Illusions and Elite.
The screenplay is by Andrea Cavaletto, who is already well-known in the film industry for editing the script of "The Maelzel Chess Player" (P.O.E. Poetry of Eerie) e Doll Syndrome by Cristopharo himself. Supervision of the script was done with the friendly participation of Roberto Recchioni.

Playing Dylan Dog will be Stefano Cassetti, an Italian actor who made his film debut in 2001 with Cédric Kahn's Roberto Succo, for whose role he received a nomination for the "César du meilleur espoir masculin" at the Cannes Film Festival, until joining the cast of the mini-series Rosemary's Baby with Zoe Saldana.
In the role of Vivien we will instead find Veronica Gentili, Italian blogger and actress (Third Person by P. Haggis, Come Te Nessuno Mai by G. Muccino...); while Pasquale Ruju will be the shell man.

The myth of Dylan Dog finds a copious list of film transpositions in recent years among which it is worth mentioning:

  • "Dylan Dog: The Movie" by Kevin Munroe (2010);
  • "Dylan Dog: The Beginning" by Roberto D'Antona (2011);
  • "Dylan Dog: Death Bitch" by Denis Frison (2012);
  • "Dylan Dog: Victim of Events" by Claudio di Biagio (2014).
