IFC Films has revealed the first trailer for Don't Knock Twice, l'horror sovrannaturale diretto da Caradog W. James (The Machine), per la prima volta coinvolto nel genere horror. L'uscita del film è prevista per il 3 febbraio 2017 nelle sale statunitensi, lo stesso giorno del VOD.
The screenplay was written by Mark Huckerby and Nick Ostler, the screenwriters of the movie about lycanthropy Howl (2015).
The urban legend about an abandoned house in which a vengeful witch is hiding provides the backdrop for the story of Don't Knock Twice. According to that laggenda, anyone who knocks once on the door of the sinister dwelling will awaken the witch; if, however, one knocks twice, then the evil creature will rise from the dead.
Questo è quello che farà Chloe (Lucy Boynton), un'adolescente che, per gioco, busserà alla porta della cupa abitazione per poi tornare a casa della madre tossicodipendente in riabilitazione (Kate Scakhoff). La diabolica presenza non tarderà a manifestarsi tormentando e terrorizzando la giovane.
