IFC Films has revealed the first trailer for Don't Knock Twice, the supernatural horror film directed by Caradog W. James (The Machine), who is involved in the horror genre for the first time. The film is scheduled for release on February 3, 2017 in U.S. theaters, the same day as VOD.
The screenplay was written by Mark Huckerby and Nick Ostler, the screenwriters of the movie about lycanthropy Howl (2015).
The urban legend about an abandoned house in which a vengeful witch is hiding provides the backdrop for the story of Don't Knock Twice. According to that laggenda, anyone who knocks once on the door of the sinister dwelling will awaken the witch; if, however, one knocks twice, then the evil creature will rise from the dead.
This is what Chloe (Lucy Boynton), a teenager who will playfully knock on the door of the gloomy home and then return to the home of her recovering drug addict mother (Kate Scakhoff), will do. The diabolical presence will not be long in manifesting itself by tormenting and terrorizing the young girl.
In the cast: Katee Sackhoff (Oculus - The Reflection of Evil, The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia), Lucy Boynton, Javier Botet (The Mother, REC, The Conjuring - The Enfield Case), Nick Moran, Jordan Bolger, Pooneh Hajimohammadi, Richard Mylan and Callum Griffiths.
