Doctor Sleep: past and present meet in the new poster for the film starring Ewan McGregor

The new poster for the supernatural thriller is online. Doctor Sleep, the film adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Stephen King in 2013 and which in turn is a sequel to Shining, of both the literary work of the above-mentioned writer and Stanley Kubrick's film.
In the poster, the Overlook Hotel is the place where the past and the present meet. In fact, Danny Torrance appears in the poster as a child and as an adult.

Directed by Mike Flanagan (Oculus - The Evil Reflection, Somnia) and starring Ewan McGregor, Doctor Sleep will arrive in Italian theaters with Warner Bros. Italy on Oct. 31.
The film sheds light on the story of Danny Torrance 40 years after his terrifying stay at the Overlook Hotel in Shining.

Plot: Dan Torrance (Ewan McGregor) is a 40-year-old man scarred by the trauma he experienced as a child at the Overlook Hotel, following which he no longer used his psychic powers.
One day she meets Abra (Kyliegh Curran), a teenager with her own powers, called "shimmering." The young girl desperately seeks his help against the ruthless Rose (Rebecca Ferguson) and her followers of the "True Knot" who, in their quest for immortality, feed on the "shimmering" of the innocent. The alliance between the two will force Dan to resort once again to his psychic powers, thus coming to terms with the ghosts of the past.

In the cast: Ewan McGregor (Trainspotting), Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible), Kyliegh Curran, Carl Lumbly, Bruce Greenwood, Jocelin Donahue, Emily Alyn Lind, Zahn McClarnon, Alex Essoe, and Cliff Curtis.
