Directed by Duilio Scalici (Enfer), the dark drama/psychological horror short film Sparire (Disappear) has been available on HorrorHound TV since September 2 and will also be released on BloodStream TV on October 31.
Featuring intense psychological tension, dark themes, and horror elements, Sparire has already earned several selections on the independent film festival circuit.
Between work shifts and the grayness of the city, a young man spends his days trapped in an unstimulating existence. An unexpected encounter breaks the monotony of his daily life, setting in motion a transformation that will forever change the way he sees the world.
Sparire stars Miriam Fricano and Federico Punzi, while the score was composed by Diego Guarnieri, whose credits include RAI television series and the award-winning 2024 fantasy horror short film Juggernaut.
The screenplay and editing are by Duilio Scalici, an Italian filmmaker, writer, and musician best known for his work on music videos in Italy. In 2020, his short film Enfer had its world premiere at the Raindance Film Festival.
Sparire is produced by Film dal sottosuolo.
