Online the teaser trailer for Devour, the horror film that mixes metal, vampirism and cannibalism, currently being crowdfunded on Indiegogo.
Written by Desiree Hansen and directed by Scott B. Hansen (The Possession Experiment, Bad Candy, Bully, The Forest Hills), Devour was shot at Digital Thunderdome Studios in Atlanta, Ga. The special effects artist Titan Wayne Anderson (Jurassic World, IT, The Predator) built all the creature suits with a heavy focus on practical effects from Kevin Meaux and Oliver Kasiske from OX FX.
Devour follows the story of "The Virginia Bitches," an all-female death metal band who are vampires by night and on the verge of stardom. After they save a young girl who is on the run from a mysterious cult, they become trapped in a small town full of cannibals and led by a warlock. As the band members try to survive the night, they must face not only grotesque horrors of a cannibal cult but also the dark supernatural forces.
The cast includes Gaven Wilde (The Righteous Gemstones, The Black Phone), Katelyn Newberry (Juror #2), Heidi Shepherd, Gus Langley, John Wells, Chelsea Lesage, and Alexandra Lucchessi.
Devour is produced by Ryan Shelor, George Elliott, and Ray Heberer and is slated to release in late 2025.
