This month Goredrome Pictures is dealing with the distribution of Destination - The subtle rustle of madness (aka Island of Death), the Greek proto-slasher initially labeled as a nasty video, among the most banned films in the world.
The film will be on pre-order from tomorrow, October 13, on the official websites Goredrome and TetroVideo in the limited (500 copies) and numbered Mediabook edition (Cover A and Cover B), with 2 Blu-rays and a 24-page Booklet. Slipcase and card are limited to pre-order only.
Written and directed by Nico Mastorakis (The Wind) in 1976, Destination - The subtle rustle of madness was banned for several years in the UK only to be released, for the first time uncensored, in 2003. Currently unreleased in Italy on VHS, DVD and Blu-ray, Destination is an extreme concentration of sexual perversion, violence and torture, so much so that it is considered one of the most perverse exploitation films ever made.
The story stars Christopher (Bob Behling) and Celia (Jane Lyle), an English couple who reach the Greek island of Mykonos for their supposed honeymoon. The two are actually sadistic murderers and have left London to indulge in a madcap adventure, staining themselves with horrific crimes and performing obscene acts.
The cast of Destination consists of Bob Behling (The Adulteress), Jane Lyle (Valley of the Minotaur), Jessica Dublin (The Witch's Sex), Gerard Gonalons, Jannice McConnell, Nikos Tsachiridis, Jeremy Rousseau, and Mike Murtagh.
