As the title suggests, in the film Dementia (USA - 2015) the theme of dementia presumably of the degenerative type is addressed, as in the case of the protagonist of The Taking of Deborah Logan. Specifically, the story centers on an elderly man, a veteran of the war, who is placed in the care of a nurse. The woman, however, harbors a terrible secret.
Dementia is currently in post-production and is a film directed by Mike Testin, the cinematographer of Contracted while the screenplay was handled by Meredith Berg. Playing the man with dementia is Gene Jones (The Sacrament). Also in the cast are Kristina Klebe (Halloween - The Beginning, Proxy, Mamula), Marc Senter (The Lost), Graham Skipper (Almost Human), Peter Cilella, Richard Riehle, Ruben Pla, Steve Agee, and Justin Benson.
