After the poster, with Lucky Red also arrives online the official Italian trailer of Decision to Leave, the noir thriller by Park Chan-wook, the acclaimed director of the Revenge Trilogy: Mr. Vengeance (2002), Old Boy (2003) and Lady Vendetta (2005).
Presented as a "detective story" full of twists and turns, Decision to Leave will debut in Italian theaters on February 2, 2023 with Lucky Red.
The story follows the fortunes of Hae-joon (Park Hae-il), a detective engaged in investigating the death of a man who mysteriously fell from a mountain. The detective meets Seo-rae, the victim's young widow, who does not seem to be upset about her husband's disappearance and who, for that very reason, becomes the prime murder suspect. Melancholy and mysterious, the woman manages to arouse the detective's interest and ignite in him a disruptive passion that will lead him to endanger his profession.
Decision to Leave was awarded Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival and was nominated by Korea for the Oscar race for Best International Film. It also received a nomination for Best Foreign Language Film at the Golden Globes 2023.
The cast includes Park Hae-il, Tang Wei, Go Kyung-Pyo, Yong-woo Park and Jung-Hyun.
