In February we told you about Deathgasm, una commedia horror neozelandese in stile anni '80 che non lesina su splatter e gore e che si presenta come un mix tra horror e metal. Un film folle e divertente scritto e diretto da Jason Lei Howden, qui al suo primo tentativo con un lungometraggio e di cui oggi è stato pubblicato il divertente e sanguinario trailer ufficiale.
The protagonists of the story are Brodie and Zakk, two teenage metalheads and outcasts united by their passion for heavy metal music. The two start a band together but a strange musical score will disrupt their lives forever. In fact, whoever plays it will not only receive great power but will also awaken "Aeloth The Blind One," an ancient evil entity that will possess the bodies of their family members and classmates, transforming them into psychotic, possessed by the possessed.
The cast includes Milo Cawthorne, James Blake, Kimberley Crossman, Daniel Cresswell, Sam Berkley, Stephen Ure, Colin Moy and Delaney Tabron. Special effects are by Storm McCracken and Tim Wells.
The film, which will be released in U.S. theaters on October two, enjoys an original soundtrack that will satisfy metalheads but also successful special effects that will delight splatter lovers.
