Deathgasm, the award-winning New Zealand horror film about metalheads, will be released on November 23 in DVD and Blu-ray formats (both limited editions contain the collector's booklet) and in digital download with Midnight Factory.
Written and directed by Jason Lei Howden (here in his first attempt at a feature film), Deathgasm is an 80s-style New Zealand horror comedy that does not skimp on splatter and gore sequences and offers a perfect horror-metal combination.

The protagonists of the story are outcasts Brodie and Zakk, two teenage metalheads united by a passion for heavy metal music. The two students start a band together but a strange musical score will disrupt their lives forever. Whoever plays it will in fact receive great power but will also awaken "Aeloth The Blind One," an ancient evil entity that will turn human beings into psychotic demons.
The film also enjoys an original soundtrack that will satisfy metalheads but also effective special effects (by Storm McCracken and Tim Wells) that will delight splatter lovers.
In the cast of Deathgasm: Milo Cawthorne, James Blake, Kimberley Crossman, Daniel Cresswell, Sam Berkley, Stephen Ure, Colin Moy, and Delaney Tabron.
