In these hours, a macabre and hellish clip of the Death House (USA - 2018), l'horror diretto da Harrison Smith, già autore in passato di film come Camp Dread and Zombie Killers: Elephant's Graveyard.
The story takes place inside the “Death House,” a maximum-security prison structured on nine floors, much like the circles in Dante's ’Inferno.” The clip reveals monstrous creatures crammed into a room and reminiscent of the shapeless masses of the The Thing of John Carpenter but also the monstrous beings of Hellraiser by Clive Barker.
Plot: Federal agents Jae Novak (Cody Longo) and Toria Boon (Cortney Palm) reach a secret penitentiary but their tour will turn into a hellish journey as the two reach the lowest floors of the building where unspeakable horrors are concealed.
Death House boasts, in the crew and cast, so many icons of horror cinema and, because of this, it has been presented as the horror version of “The Mercenaries.” For example, the screenplay is by director Harrison Smith himself in collaboration with the legendary Gunnar Hansen (1947-2015) aka the “leather face” of Don't Open That Door (1974).
The cast consists of such well-known actors as Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th, Hatchet), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator), Camille Keaton (Don't Rape Jennifer), Bill Moseley (Don't Open That Door - Part 2, House of 1,000 Bodies), Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog), Dee Wallace (The Howl), Sid Haig (Spider Baby, House of a Thousand Bodies), Lloyd Kaufman (Troma's founder), Bill Oberst Jr. (Circus of the Dead, The Chair), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), Debbie Rochon (Killer Rack) but also Cody Longo (Piranha 3D), Cortney Palm (Zombeavers, Silent Night), Lindsay Hartley and many others.
The film is being produced by Rick Finkelstein (Entertainment Factory) and Steven Chase.
Practical effects are by Roy Knyrim (SOTA FX).
Death House sarà disponibile per il video on demand a partire dal 6 novembre con Cleopatra Entertainment mentre arriverà in DVD (mercato USA) l'11 dicembre 2018.
