Dead Awake is the title of the supernatural horror film directed by Phillip Guzman (200 Hours) and for which the official trailer is already available. The script for the film is by Jeffrey Reddick, the creator of the franchise Final Destination. Dead Awake will be presented at the Shriekfest Film Festival next month.
Jocelin Donahue (The House of the Devil) plays the protagonist, a young woman who will find herself investigating a series of strange events in which many people die while sleeping. The girl will end up having to defend her own life and that of her friends from an ancient evil that attacks its victims with hypnagogic paralysis.
Also in the cast are Lori Petty (Masters of Horror), Jesse Bradford, Brea Grant (Worry Dolls), Jesse Borrego, James Eckhouse, Liz Mikel, Billy Blair, Mona Lee Fultz, Jeffrey Reddick, Derek Lee Nixon, and Chelsea Morgensen.
