Seventeen years after directing the drama film Original Sin con Antonio Banderas e Angelina Jolie, l'attore Michael Cristofer torna in cabina di regia per dirigere il thriller horror The Night Clerk. Recentemente hanno raggiunto il cast attori molto noti come Ana de Armas (Blade Runner 2049), John Leguizamo (La terra dei morti viventi) ed Helen Hunt (Rollercoaster - Il grande brivido).
Trama: Bart Bromley (Tye Sheridan) è un ragazzo affetto da autismo che lavora come portiere notturno presso un hotel. Quando una donna viene uccisa durante il suo turno, Bart diventa il primo sospettato. Mentre le indagini della polizia stanno per volgere al termine, il giovane ha un presentimento. Spera infatti che l'assassino venga catturato prima che uccida anche Andrea, una bellissima cliente dell'albergo.
The screenplay of The Night Clerk (currently in pre-production) was written by Michael Cristofer himself while the names of Tye Sheridan and David Wulf appear in the film's production. Santosh Govindaraju, Dan Reardon and Robbie Brenner, on the other hand, are the executive producers.
