We announce the Official Selections of the category BEST FEATURE FILM of DarkVeins Horror Fest 2022, a festival dedicated to horror cinema and now in its sixth year.
The DarkVeins Horror Fest is an international event dedicated to horror, dark, gothic, extreme genre cinematography and is curated by the Dark Circle Cultural Association.
As a reminder, in recent days it was announced that the Official Selections for Best Poster, Best Trailer, Best Soundtrack and Best Short Film.
Among the films in competition in this sixth edition of the DarkVeins Horror Fest 2022 The following feature films were selected:
- AGATHA (USA - 2022) - Directed by Roland Becerra and Kelly Bigelow Becerra;
- PIG KILLER (USA - 2022) - Directed by Chad Ferrin;
- PUPPET KILLER (Canada - 2019) - Directed by Lisa Ovies;
- THE MONSTER MASH (USA - 2022) - Directed by Richard Terrasi and Kevin Losani;
- MY SPECIAL BOY: A FRIDAY THE 13th FAN FILM. (USA - 2022) - Directed by James Grim and Braden Timmons.

AGATHA (USA - 2022):
Written and directed by Roland Becerra and Kelly Bigelow Becerra, Agatha is a dark experimental horror film, a fusion of live-action and animation that took more than a decade to complete.
Plot: the "Professor" is suffering from a terminal illness. By a twist of fate, the man witnesses an incredible event involving his mysterious neighbor Agatha and, hoping to find a cure for his illness, agrees to follow her on a strange and risky journey to a forgotten but not entirely deserted wasteland.
In the cast: Emily Joyce-Dial, Ryan Whiting, Erin McDonough, Lauren Mascali, and Nathan Lewis.
PIG KILLER (USA - 2022):
Pig Killer is a horror film featuring Chad Ferrin (The Chair, Parasites) in the director's booth. Written by the director himself, the film tells the story of Robert Pickton, a Canadian serial killer responsible for killing about 50 women between the 1980s and 2002. The killer fed the victims to pigs, after strangling, gutting, disemboweling or killing them by injecting antifreeze liquid into their veins.
In Pig Killer, Jake Busey plays the murderer Robert Pickton. The cast also includes Lew Temple (The Devil's Rejects), Kate Patel, Robert Miano, Silvia Spross, James Russo, Cassandra Gava, Ginger Lynn, Cyril O'Reilly, and Michael Paré.
Special effects are by Joe Castro (Iron Sky - The Battle Continues).
PUPPET KILLER (Canada - 2019):
Written by Kevin Mosley, Puppet Killer is an evil Christmas doll movie by American actress, producer and director Lisa Ovies.
The protagonists of the story are six friends who reach an isolated cabin to spend the Christmas vacations. Here, however, they will be stalked by a psychopathic killer who is obsessed with horror movie icons.
The cast features Aleks Paunovic (The War - Planet of the Apes, Van Helsing), Richard Harmon (The 100, Bates Motel), Lee Majdoub (Supernatural), Lisa Durupt (Murder She Baked), Kyle Cassie (Deadpool) and Gigi Saul Guerrero (Barbarous Mexico).
Special effects are by Ryan Nicholson (Gutterballs).
THE MONSTER MASH (USA - 2022):
Written and directed by Richard Terrasi and Kevin Losani, The Monster Mash is an old-style horror anthology consisting of three episodes ("Whispering Hollow Road," "The House," and "Home Bound Horror") based on monsters and violence and which are introduced by a mad doctor in a morgue.
The cast includes William Kozy, Cherry Fu, Kevin Losani, Monica Sharma, Justina Valentine, Roschaad Milner, Tim Whalen, and Jody Pucello.
Special effects, on the other hand, are by Richard Terrasi himself in collaboration with Megan Reed.
MY SPECIAL BOY: A FRIDAY THE 13th FAN FILM. (USA - 2022):
My Special Boy: A Friday The 13th Fan Film Is a horror slasher that pays homage to Friday the 13th and is directed by James Grim and Braden Timmons.
Plot: the past of Camp Crystal Lake does not stop Sean Orton from returning to the camp of his childhood and trying to save his family name. Sean renames the land as Camp Trinity Pointe and, with a group of friends, attempts to turn it into a safe haven... But evil still hovers there and history is poised to repeat itself.
The cast includes Braden Timmons, Abigail Jarrett, Adrian Navarro, Gia Rose, Abby Jarrett, Sammie Kahkola, Christian Diem, and Chad Sumner.
The screenplay is by James GrimWriter and Chad Sumner while the special effects are by Lonnie McCollum and Adam Zigler.
