We publish below the winners of the third edition of the DarkVeins Horror Fest 2019.

The winner of the "Best Feature Film" category is the supernatural horror thriller Reborn (USA - 2019) starring Barbara Crampton. The horror comedy genre short film Dead Air (UK - 2019) instead wins this edition as "Best Short Film“.
Finally, the "Best Original Soundtrack" award goes to Alexander Cimini for the soundtrack of the extreme horror film American Guinea Pig: Sacrifice (Italy - 2017) by Poison Rouge.
The winning films of the DarkVeins Horror Fest 2019:
BEST FEATURE FILM: Reborn (USA - 2019)
Written by Michael Mahin and directed by Julian Richards (Summer Scars, Daddy's Girl), Reborn is a supernatural thriller-horror about electrokinesis.
The cast includes horror icon Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, From Beyond - Terror from the Unknown).
Plot: a stillborn girl is brought back to life by an attendant using electrokinesis. On her 16th birthday, the girl (Kayleigh Gilbert) flees from the man who raised her and sets off in search of her mother, leaving a trail of death behind her.
Completing the cast are Kayleigh Gilbert, Michael Paré, Rae Dawn Chong, Alexa Maris, Bob Bancroft, Bob Levitan and Annie Quigley.
BEST SHORT FILM: Dead Air (UK - 2019)
Dead Air is a horror comedy about "monster kittens" that pays homage to cult films of the 1980s and 1990s and, especially, movies like Critters and Gremlins but also From - Beyond - Terror from the unknown and Vamp.
The film is directed by Geoff Harmer on a screenplay by Peter Hearn.
Plot: en route to the last concert of its tour, an all-female punk rock band will have to defend itself against tiny little monsters that will spread terror, contagion and death aboard the plane.
In the cast: Stacy Hart, Charlie Bond, Kate Davies-Speak, Johanna Stanton, David Schaal, James Hamer-Morton, and Dan Palmer.
BEST ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK: Alexander Cimini for American Guinea Pig: Sacrifice
Directed by Poison Rouge, American Guinea Pig: Sacrifice is the fourth installment of the American saga inspired by the films Guinea Pig by Hideshi Hino. The film is produced by Domiziano Cristopharo and is written by Samuel Marolla.
Plot: Tired of living, a self-destructive drug addict takes refuge in his world of pain. His unhealthy love of suffering will lead him to lose himself in the meanders of pain and madness. Among the sick thoughts that ravage him he will try to make sense of his existence now on the brink of the precipice.
Roberto Scorza and Flora Giannattasio star.
The soundtrack is by Italian composer Alexander Cimini (Red Krokodil, Just A Child).
