Avulsion (Australia - 2017) written and directed by Steven Boyle.
Special effects are by Steven Boyle Studio, a company that has done FX for such films as "Predestination," "Daybreakers," "Jungle," "Guardians of The Tomb," and "Winchester."
Plot: a man reaches out to an escort who, endowed with an unusual gift, will allow him to unleash all his strangest and deepest fantasies on her.

The French short film Like Every Morning (aka Comme tous les matins) is produced, written and directed by Cédric Dupuis.
This short film lasting about 18 minutes features the protagonist a man drowned in the monotony of his own daily routine. The story of Like Every Morning (France - 2018) is in fact a mirror of a flat life in which boredom, despair and madness converge.

The short fantasy-horror film Kiss the Devil in the Dark (USA - 2016) is directed by Jonathan Martin (Creatures of Whitechapel) and Rebecca Martin. This short film of about 30 minutes in length boasts the presence of renowned actor Doug Jones (The Faun's Labyrinth, Hellboy, The Shape of Water) in the cast.
Plot: the powerful sorcerer Marcus (Dameon Clarke) desperately tries to bring back the woman he so loved. The man will end up making a pact with the demon Dagon in order to get her back but the diabolical creature will not settle for a simple exchange of souls. Marcus will accept the demon's terms and, shrouded in darkness, will know the true meaning of the betrayal.
In the cast: Dameon Clarke, Doug Jones, Amrita Acharia (Dead Snow 2, Game of Thrones), Gary Reimer, Rick Macy, Johnny Call, Sonya Macari, Brian Higgins, Jake Stormoen and Amy Lia.
The screenplay is by Rebecca Martin and Blake Cassleman while the special effects are by Chris Hanson. The soundtrack, on the other hand, is by Gerrit Wunder.

Into The Mud (Spagna - 2016) è un cortometraggio fanta-horror scritto e diretto da Pablo Pastor, qui al suo esordio registico.
This 10-minute short film features a girl who wakes up naked in the middle of a forest. After an initial state of confusion, the young girl realizes that she is injured but, even worse, that she is the prey of a man who does not seem willing to let her go. The girl attempts to escape but is hunted down by her captor..

Written and directed by Victor and Jodi Cooper, The Woodsmen (Canada - 2018) è un cortometraggio (della durata di circa 18 minuti) dedicato alla figura del Bigfoot.
Plot: Slender Valley è ormai diventato un luogo di terrore. Quando i residenti iniziano a scomparire nelle vaste foreste, i ranger Sherman (Gianpaolo Lattanzio) e Lewis (Mackenzie Fisher) assumono il compito di condurre le spedizioni di ricerca. Emma - An American Alptraum in Austria è un cortometraggio di circa 8 minuti. Il film è diretto da Daniel Limmer il quale ha anche collaborato alla sceneggiatura insieme a Daniel Thomé.
The protagonist of the story is una regista di documentari che svela il mistero del ripugnante luogo di nascita di suo marito, Muhr in Austria. Qui un gigantesco totem di legno chiamato "Il Sansone" semina morte tra gli abitanti del posto e rappresenta una minaccia anche per Emma, la figlia che la donna porta ancora in grembo.

Written and directed by Raquel Choy, X (aka X, Por primera vez te enamoraras de un asesino en serie) is a 2016 Spanish short film. With a running time of 9 minutes, this film translates the mind of a psychopath (Josep Ferré) into surreal images of death.
