Last September, we told you about Dark Was the Night, a film centered on a monster never before depicted in cinema and belonging to American folklore. Dark Was the Night It is inspired by strange phenomena that occurred in England in 1855, when footprints resembling goat hooves were found in the snow and therefore called “Devil's Footprints.”.
The film is directed by producer and director Jack Heller, while Tyler Hisel wrote the screenplay. The cast includes Kevin Durand (Resident Evil: Retribution, Legion), Lukas Haas (Red Riding Hood), Bianca Kajlich, Nick Damici (Stake Land), Heath Freeman, Sabina Gadecki, and Steve Agee.
Dark Was the Night (USA – 2014) will be released on July 24 thanks to RLJ/Image.
Synopsis: Strange phenomena are disrupting the isolated town of Maiden Woods. Following the decimation of an area of forest by a logging company, a dark and evil presence begins to sow horror and panic among the local inhabitants. The local sheriff tries to maintain calm while investigating the strange footprints found in the snow and the events that have taken place.
