A collaboration was born between Italian illustrator and cartoonist Daniele Serra and U.S. writer Joe R. Lansdale, known for his literary works in the horror and noir genres.
The project is a graphic novel that blends the talents of the two artists. In fact, Daniele Serra is to readapt and illustrate a short story by Lansdale. The literary work in question has already been published in Italy by Einaudi, published in a collection of short stories but for now the title has not yet been announced.
The Italian artist told DarkVeins that the comic book will occupy about 60 pages of the project and that the graphic novel may also be distributed in Italy. We reserve the right to publish more information about this.
Daniele Serra, winner of the British Fantasy Awards (Best Artist), has collaborated with leading American and British comic book publishers and the US magazine Weird Tales. The artist also works on the covers of short stories, horror and fantasy books, and music CDs. Veins and Skulls is the title of his artbook currently available on Amazon.
