Second feature film, but this time horror, for Georgian director Levan Gabriadze.
These are. Cybernatural, a genre film that had its premiere at the Fantasia Film Festival a couple of days ago.
It all begins when an embarrassing video of Laura Barns (Heather Sossaman) ends up on the Internet. The girl becomes a victim of bullying and, in despair, takes her own life. Exactly one year after her suicide, some of her classmates receive a Skype message from their deceased classmate specifically. Initially the group thinks it is a prank but the occurrence of strange events makes them reconsider.
The screenplay of Cybernatural is edited by Nelson Greaves who is also the film's producer along with Timur Bekmambetov (The Legend of the Vampire Hunter, Nightwatch). In addition to Heather Sossaman in the cast are: Shelley Hennig, Renee Olstead, Jacob Wysocki, Courtney Halverson, William Peltz, Matthew Bohrer, and Moses Jacob Storm.
The film is a found footage with a special feature: the story is shown directly from the desktop of the young girl's PC.
