Crimes of the Future: David Cronenberg's horror film in theaters in August - Italian Trailer

Lucky Red has released, online, the Italian trailer for Crimes of the Future (2022), the body horror written and directed by the celebrated David Cronenberg (Rabid, Brood, Scanners, The Fly) returning to the big screen after an eight-year absence.
In Crimes of the Future, David Cronenberg continues to explore man's terror in the face of the mutation of the flesh, involving not only the physical but also the psychological aspect.
The film will arrive in Italian theaters on August 24.

Crimes of the Future takes its title from his earlier 1970 film without being its remake and stars Viggo Mortensen (A History of Violence, The Assassin's Promise), Léa Seydoux (Spectre, No time to die) and Kristen Stewart (Twilight, Underwater).

Plot: qhen the human species adapts to a synthetic environment, the body undergoes new transformations and mutations. Together with his partner Caprice (Léa Seydoux), renowned performance artist Saul Tenser (Viggo Mortensen) publicly displays the metamorphosis of his organs in avant-garde performances.
Investigator Timlin (Kristen Stewart) will obsessively follow all of his performances, trying to use the artist's notoriety to shed light on the next stage of human evolution.

Completing the cast are Scott Speedman (Underworld), Don McKellar, Welket Bungué, Tanaya Beatty, Lihi Kornowski, Yorgos Karamichos, and Yorgos Pirpassopoulos.
Crimes of the Future had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
