Anticipated release date of Crawl, the thriller-horror written and directed by Alexandre Aja, the director of High Tension and remakes The Hills Have Eyes, Reflections of fear and Piranha 3D.
Distributed by Paramount Pictures, Crawl will debut in U.S. theaters on July 12, not August 19, 2019 as previously announced.
The protagonist of the story is Kaya Scodelario (Pirates of the Caribbean: Salzar's Revenge), here playing the role of a girl who, in an attempt to save her father from a level 5 hurricane, finds herself trapped in a flooded house. The girl will not only have to deal with the dangers caused by the tornado but will also have to defend herself against a pack of dangerous alligators.
Crawl is produced by Sam Raimi (The House) and Craig J. Flores (300: Rise of an Empire).
The screenplay was written by Alexandre Aja in collaboration with Michael and Shawn Rasmussen, the screenwriters of The Ward - Il reparto, Dark Feed and The Inhabitants.
Also in the cast are Barry Pepper, Ross Anderson, Anson Boon, George Somner, Ami Metcalf, Jose Palma, Morfydd Clark, and Annamaria Serda.
