Eagle Pictures has released online a clip from Countdown, the Hungarian horror film about the baleful app coming to the cinema tomorrow, Nov. 21. Written and directed by Justin Dec, the film has been billed as a cross between The Ring and Final Destination.
In Countdown, a smartphone app is capable of revealing, to those who download it, the exact moment of death, triggering a diabolical game that will leave the protagonists no chance.
Plot: Quinn (Elizabeth Lail) is a young nurse struggling with the dreadful "Countdown," an app that leaves no escape and is impossible to uninstall. As the hours pass and the end draws near, Quinn and her friends will have to find a way to save themselves before it is too late.
In the cast of CountDown: Elizabeth Lail (You), Peter Facinelli (Twilight saga), Talitha Bateman (Annabelle: Creation), Anne Winters (Night School), P.J Byrne (Green Book, Rampage), Tom Segura (Instant Family), Jordan Calloway (Black Lightning, Riverdale) and Tichina Arnold (Everyone Hates Chris).
John Morris, Sean Anders, John Rickard and Zack Schiller, on the other hand, are the producers of the film.
