After the trailer, the poster of Consecration (2023), the religious horror film by Christopher Smith, a British screenwriter and director known for directing Creep - The Surgeon (2004), Severance - Staff cuts (2006) e Triangle (2009).
The film will debut in U.S. theaters on Feb. 10 with IFC Midnight while it will arrive on VOD platforms on March 3.
Consecration is played by Jena Malone (Donnie Darko, Ruins, The Neon Demon), here as Grace, a girl who, after the suicide of her priest brother, reaches the Scottish convent to investigate what happened. Here Grace distrusts the Church's account and soon discovers murder, sacrilege and a disturbing truth about her past.
In addition to Jena Malone, the cast includes Danny Huston (30 Days of Darkness), Janet Suzman, Ian Pirie, Steffan Cennydd (The Feast), Angela White, Eilidh Fisher and Thoren Ferguson (Matriarch).
The screenplay is by Christopher Smith himself in collaboration with Laurie Cook.
