In queste ore è stato rilasciato un interessante trailer dell'atteso Cold Skin (Spagna, Francia - 2017), l’horror “lovecraftiano” diretto da Xavier Gens, il regista che ha alle spalle film come Frontiers - On the edge of hell (2007) and The Divide (2011) and who recently directed The Crucifixion.
The story of Cold Skin takes place in Antarctica, in the years after World War I. A young man, aboard on a steamship, is on his way to a deserted island where, in complete solitude, he is to perform the work of a meteorological observer for a year. On shore, however, he will not find the colleague he is to replace, only a crazed castaway, a witness to a horror he refuses to recount. Silent nature welcomes the new observer who will find refuge in an isolated house surrounded by rocks and the sea. All is quiet until night falls....
The screenplay of Cold Skin is signed by Jesús Olmo and Eron Sheean.
In the cast: Ray Stevenson, David Oakes, Aura Garrido, John Benfield, Iván González, Ben Temple, and Winslow Iwaki.
The film premiered at the 2017 Sitges Film Festival and will be screened at the Glasgow Film Festival next March.
Cold Skin is the film adaptation of "La Pell Freda" ("The Cold Skin"), a successful novel by Spanish author Albert Sánchez Piñol.
