According to HollywoodReporter, Paramount Pictures and J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot are developing the sequel to Cloverfield, the monster movie directed by Matt Reeves in 2008.
Dopo il sequel "spirituale" 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) by Dan Trachtenberg and the spin-off The Cloverfield Paradox (2018) by Julius Onah, the franchise will gain another chapter, a direct sequel to the original 2008 film.
The script for this fourth project will be by Joe Barton (the showrunner of the Batman spin-off TV series) while J.J. Abrams will return as producer.
Recall that the story of Cloverfield (2008) vede protagonisti sei ragazzi di New York in fuga dagli attacchi di un misterioso mostro gigante che sta radendo al suolo la città . Il film è un mockumentary (un "falso documentario"), un film girato in forma di video ritrovato, ovvero tramite il punto di vista di una videocamera amatoriale portata a mano che segue i protagonisti durante la catastrofe che si verifica sotto i loro occhi.
