Definitely interesting title this Circus of the Dead, which will attract all fans of movies set in circuses or starring characters from such shows, or, with masochism, those suffering from coulrophobia.
From the first images and the trailer you will find at the bottom of the article, the film directed by Billy ‘Bloody Bill’ Pon (who in 2010 directed the short horror film Doll Boy) enjoys a certain fascination triggered not only by the location but also by the disturbing characters who indulge in the murkiest and bloodiest actions.
Protagonists of Circus of the Dead are the clowns Noodledome (Ryan Clapp), Mr. Blister (Rusty Edwards) and Jumbo (Mike Williams), Doll Boy (Sergio Gracida), Pepe the mime (Kyle Mueller) and many others, who, having come to town with their circus (the Big Top), will revel all night long armed with knives, hammers and chainsaws, forcing Donald (Parrish Randall), a man who has met them by chance, to witness their gory crimes. Leading the group of psychopaths is Papa Corn played by Bill Oberst Jr. an actor with a substantial filmography (M Is for Masochist, Children of Sorrow, Krampus: The Christmas Devil, The Black Water Vampire...).
Fun for the circus members is assured but also for the spectator who will witness their splatter and gore show.
Also in the cast are Chanel Ryan, Roger Edwards, and Tiffani Fest. The screenplay was handled by the director himself together with Lee Ankrum.
