These are, of course, films intended for fans of the most extreme underground, ready to follow on screen the spectacularization of human pain and the annihilation of personality through torture but also disease, abuse and paraphilias.
Below is the list of the best extreme titles, high in gore and perversion and also with a strong sexual component. These are the most representative of the last decade i.e. the Best extreme films released between 2011 and 2021.
LIST OF THE MOST BRUTAL EXTREME HORROR MOVIES IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER
XXX DARK WEB (2020): anthology film about the searing contents of the darknet (dark web) and brings together depravity and obscenity without any taboos, elevating itself to one of the most extreme and explicit films of recent years.
XXX Dark Web focuses on the rottenest part of the sexual sphere by shining the spotlight on autoeroticism, sodomy, lesbian and S&M siplets confined to deviant and violent contexts. The result is a chilling depiction of suffering and death in a deliberately bleak context in which various sexual disorders proliferate.
The episodes that make up this extreme anthology are directed by Alex Hernández, Domiziano Cristopharo, Emanuele Marchetto, Adam Ford, Lorenzo D. Zanoni, and Daniel Valient of White Gardenia. The latter is the author of the atrocious concluding episode, a small snuff movie in which he himself directs practices extreme self-harm and autocannibalism.
LARVA MENTAL (Spain - 2020): the rottenest, most blasphemous and sacrilegious film on the list, features newcomer Mikel Balerdi, an artist associated with the world of painting, tattoos, body suspension and the most extreme body art (a field in which he is known for his shocking and powerful shows), as director.
In Larva Mental, extreme body art is presented as a form of transgression and expression but, above all, it is an excursion into the imaginative and dedicated mind of Mikel Balerdi, here directing a film that is untenable for many. Indeed, the film offers audiences desecrating and desecrating practices of the human body that outrage religion and the meaning of life with clear provocative intentions.
AMERICAN GUINEA PIG: BOUQUET OF GUTS AND GORE (USA - 2014): directed by Stephen Biro, Bouquet of Guts and Gore is the title of the first episode of the American series inspired by the eastern gore saga Guinea Pig.
The American director makes a brutal work that manages to convey a strong sense of squalor and madness. Accompanied by a very high rate of splatter and gore, the film is embellished with a perverse parade of violence in which the tortures inflicted are varied, prone to the depiction of all kinds of torment.
ATROZ (Mexico - 2015): Atroz presents itself as a cross-section of the most violent Mexico, where torture, murder, and atrocities of various kinds often go unpunished. In addition to the degradation of the Mexican capital and its infamous neighborhoods, Lex Ortega's film is a concentration of violence and corruption, in which incest, psychological and physical torture but also various and explicit BDSM practices converge. All as a consequence not only of the context but also of a bewildering family drama, the cause of the annihilation of the human being.
BLOOD FOR FLESH (Mexico - 2019): murky and unhealthy, this Mexican extreme film directed by Alex Hernández is a plunge between morbid visions of pain and suffering that embrace reality and fantasy but also the present and past of the protagonists. The film is divided into acts in which abuse and incestuous relationships nourish a story of despair that results in psycho-physical decline and madness.
Atypical rape&revenge that uses narrative metaphor to bring to the stage the brutalities of human beings and their most primitive instincts.
CARCINOMA (Germany - 2014): Marian Dora's extreme shock film that focuses on terminal illness to bring to the stage the psychological and physical decay of a man who surrenders to life. Carcinoma Indeed, it replicates the worsening health of a cancer patient by reproducing his personal hell: from the early stages of the disease to the last stages that portray him debilitated, nailed to a bed to rot amid slow and excruciating agonies until the end of his days.
The film is striking for the realism with which the course of the disease is developed, coming across as deeply heartbreaking and bitter.
TORMENT (Italy - 2016): directed by Adam Ford, Torment sheds light on the darker and sicker side of serial killer John Wayne Gacy (1942 - 1994), known as "Pogo the Clown," by focusing on his sadistic actions in his intimate sphere. Torment does not skimp on nudity and very explicit, even pornographic scenes and makes visual power its language, showing, without veils, what might have been the actions carried out by the serial killer against his victims. The result is a film that arouses horror and disgust.
VORE GORE (2021): is a film composed of nine segments about vorarephilia, a disorder that is based on sexual pleasure born of the desire to be eaten alive, to be digested, or triggered by fantasizing about feeding on someone else or watching others involved in this "masochistic" act. On this basis, the nine filmmakers stage an unusual perversion, immortalizing it in different contexts in which the climax is reached by the White Gardenia episode ("Yummy Fur"). As in. Dark Web in fact, Daniel Valient directs the most shocking episode with true self-harm: the protagonist of the story is in fact a girl struggling with a pair of scissors that she will use to injure and cut off a small part of her body.
In Vore Gore there are two other segments that flow into the extreme territory namely "Mouth" by Mikel Balerdi and "Finger Licking Good" by Lorenzo Dante Zanoni, who directs an episode that seems to pay homage to the better-known Naked Blood.
Poison Rouge, Patrick Fortin, Dario Almerighi, Irene Baruffetti, Emanuele Marchetto and Domiziano Cristopharo are the directors of the other segments.
TETROMANIAC: EROTIK (Italy - 2019): loosely based on the story of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer (1960 - 1994), eROTik delves into the necrophilic theme by insisting, with a touch of pornography and without taboos, on the killer's morbid sexual relationships but also on the stages of decomposition.
With eROTik Domiziano Cristopharo offers a hellish and personal vision of a sick mind by emphasizing the relationship between perpetrator and victim and insisting on violence inflicted and received. Endowed with accentuated aesthetic appeal and a fine directorial style, eROTik is one of the best films about necrophilia as well as extreme cinema.
AMERICAN GUINEA PIG: BLOODSHOCK (USA - 2016): directed by Marcus Koch, Bloodshock is the second installment in the American series inspired by Hideshi Hino's Eastern saga. In Bloodshock, the physical and psychological tortures inflicted serve to test the level of a human being's pain tolerance threshold and thus also physical endurance.
Bloodshock drops us into this context of inhumanity, made all the more bleak by an icy yet elegant black and white.
29 NEEDLES (USA - 2019): Scott Philip Goergens directs a gay fetish porn that, relying on explicit hard scenes, nudity and lots of blood, manages to unsettle the viewer. The film is a journey into the darkest and most carnal desires of the protagonist, a self-destructive man obsessed with pain and sex who will allow himself to be dominated by the most heinous impulses to appease his sadomasochistic side.
TETROMANIAC: 61 - THE SCORECARD KILLER (Italy - 2021): Poison Rouge returns to direct an extreme film in collaboration with Domiziano Cristopharo. Starring Roberto Scorza, the film is loosely based on the murders of Randy Steven Kraft, the American serial killer known as the "Scorecard Killer."
The two directors focus on the aberrant acts performed by the rapist and murderer by highlighting, with shocking sequences, his sadism and madness. Asphyxiating is the location used to perform havoc on the victims' bodies: a car.
The Human Centipede 2 - Full Sequence (UK, Netherlands - 2011): directed by Tom Six, The Human Centipede 2 is the second installment of the trilogy conceived by the Dutch director and stars Laurence R. Harvey, here as Martin Lomax, a deranged man who attempts to emulate Dr. Heiter, the protagonist of the first film.
In The Human Centipede 2, bleak locations serve as the stage for the perverse fantasies of the unforgettable character who indulges in heinous acts. Imbued with a sick and disturbing atmosphere, Tom Six's film is able to horrify and disgust the audience by the aberrant show improvised by the protagonist, who is now lost in his insane dimension: his goal, to unite several people with each other to create the "human centipede," will have as its aftermath a series of endless tortures and, as consequences, several moments of psycho-physical degradation.
