New info regarding Suspiria, il remake dell'omonimo capolavoro argentiano. Chloe Moretz ha raggiunto ufficialmente il cast che attualmente è composto da Tilda Swinton (Constantine, Solo gli amanti sopravvivono) e Dakota Johnson (50 sfumature di grigio).
Directing the makeover of Suspiria is Italian director Luca Guadagnino (Melissa P., Bigger Splash), who expressed his deep desire to take on this project back in September 2015, right during the Venice Film Festival. The screenplay, on the other hand, is by David Kajganich.
The remake of Suspiria (currently in pre-production) will be heavily influenced by the cinema of R.W. Fassbinder (Lola, Querelle de Brest) and the plot will be faithful to the original one shot by Dario Argento in 1977. The story, on the other hand, will be set in 1970s Berlin and will emphasize the figure of Mater Suspiriorum (Elena Markos) a.k.a. the Mother of Sighs, the greatest of the three Mothers.
Recall that Chloe Moretz's filmography includes several remakes of famous horror films: Amityville Horror (2005), The Eye (2008) and Blood Story (2010). In 2013, she also played Carrie White in the remake Lo sguardo di satana -Â Carrie.
