The first image, poster and synopsis of Children of The Corn, the Rated R (for violence and blood) horror film directed by Kurt Wimmer.
Children of the Corn is the new film adaptation of the short story of the same name featured in the collection Sometimes they return (1978) by Stephen King and is showing in some U.S. theaters these days.
The cast includes Elena Kampouris, Kate Moyer (Our House), Callan Mulvey (Too Old To Die Young) and Bruce Spence (The Widow Winchester).
Children of the Corn by Kurt Wimmer depicts the events that led to the massacre of adults in a small Nebraska town at the hands of their children. However, as revealed by producer Lucas Foster, the new film has "almost nothing to do" with the original 1984 classic i.e. Fritz Kiersch's Blood Red Grain.
Plot: in a small Nebraska town, a psychopathic 12-year-old recruits all the other children to kill corrupt adults and anyone who opposes her. A brilliant high schooler who will not stick to her plan may be the townspeople's only hope for survival .
