After the sold-out first edition of Cannibal, TetroVideo is about to distribute Marian Dora's cult hit Marian Dora in three brand new collectible limited editions, some of which will be in hyper-limited runs.
March, Cannibal (Germany - 2006) will be available in the following editions (all with English language and Italian and French subtitles) with artwork by Shin Nagai:
- GOLDEN EDITION. (10 hand-numbered copies), the rarest release of the film: Bookbox + DVD + Poster+ Deluxe Card with gold inserts. Each copy has a unique disc design;
- ULTRALIMITED EDITION (20 numbered copies): Bookbox + DVD + Poster + Card;
- STANDARD EDITION (300 copies): 10mm DVDpack + DVD + slipcase + card
The DVDs of the 3 editions will have new content and differ in design, card, poster, and disc printing.
The story of Cannibal is based on the case of Armin Meiwes, known as "the cannibal of Rotenburg." The German criminal, currently a lifer, is responsible for killing and eating Bernd Jürgen Armando Brandes, a Berlin engineer who had expressed online a desire to be killed and cannibalized.
The film is striking in its rawness and the realistic touch with which the story was portrayed.
