Cannibal Holocaust: Ruggero Deodato's celebrated cannibal movie in theaters in August

With Cat People Distribution comes online the new posters and trailer of the gory Cannibal Holocaust (Italy - 1980), the famous film directed by Ruggero Deodato (Last Cannibal World), nicknamed "Monsieur Cannibal" in France precisely because of the cannibal movies he directed.
Considered the first real horror film to exploit the "found footage" technique, Cannibal Holocaust arrives in Italian theaters for the first time (Aug. 21-23), in its unabridged and restored 4K version and banned for under 18s.

Plot: Some journalists go into the Amazon rainforest to make a documentary about a tribe that is said to practice cannibalism. Of the four, however, the trail is lost. The anthropologist Harold Monroe (Robert Kerman) travels to the site to try to track them down but he will find only their camera, which will reveal the tragic fate of the missing boys.

The cast of the film includes Francesca Ciardi, Gabriel Yorke, Luca Barbareschi, Paolo Paoloni, Perry Pirkanen, and Salvatore Basile.
The soundtrack, on the other hand, is by Riz Ortolani, author of more than 200 soundtracks (Danza macabra, Africa addio, Non si sevizia un duckino...).
