Released, earlier today, the first trailer of Camera Obscura (USA – 2017), il thriller/horror psicologico che vede alla regia l'esordiente Aaron B. Koontz. Il film affronta il tema delicato del disturbo post traumatico da stress (DPTS), denominato “Nevrosi da guerra”. Camera Obscura will debut in U.S. theaters on June 9 through Chiller Films while the date for video on demand is set for June 13.
Plot: Jack Zeller (Christopher Denham) is a war veteran with PTSD who is convinced that he possesses a demonic camera. In fact, the photos he takes seem to capture the future death of the people portrayed. The fear of harming the people around him will further damage his already declining mind.
Camera Obscura Is partly a tribute to "The Purple Testament" ("The Purple Testament") from the TV series The Twilight Zone (The Twilight Zone) and also to The eye that kills (1960) by Michael Powell.
The cast includes: Christopher Denham, Nadja Bobyleva, Chase Williamson (Beyond the Gates), Catherine Curtin, Noah Segan (The Mind's Eye, Tales of Halloween), Andrew Sensenig, Jeremy King, Dane Rhodes, Gretchen Lodge, Charlie Talbert, Carol Sutton, David Jensen, and Lance E. Nichols.
The screenplay is by Aaron B. Koontz and Cameron Burns.
