Scritto da Andrea Cavaletto (Hidden in The Woods, The Obsessed) e dallo stesso Cristopharo, il film è una rilettura del Cyberpunk asiatico in chiave pop e anni '80, un mix fra live action e realtà virtuale.
La CGI sarà a cura di Alessandro Basso, col quale Domiziano Cristopharo ha già diretto il videoclip "Next Generation" per il gruppo Breathing Machines.
The cast of Blue Sunset consists of Daniele Arturi (The House Guest), Irene Baruffetti (Nightmare Symphony) and Ciro Cerreta. The film will feature cameos by Chiara Pavoni (Xpiation), Elisa Carrera Fumagalli (7 Sins) and Alessio Cherubini (The Iced Hunter).
