Teaser poster and first circulating image for Bloody Knuckles (Canada - 2014), the horror comedy that will have its world premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival this month. The film is written and directed by actor and director Matt O'Mahoney, here making his first feature film. Production, on the other hand, was handled by Daniel Domachowski and Christena Zatylny.
The protagonist of this horror comedy is Travis Warner (Adam Boys), an underground cartoonist with a penchant for the sacrilegious. When one of his latest works insults and provokes a Chinatown crime boss, the latter punishes the artist by amputating his right hand, thus depriving him of the ability to draw. After the incident Travis takes refuge in alcohol and loneliness, until his hand comes back to life dragging him into a filthy world so he can find a way with which to get revenge.
The cast of Bloody Knuckles consists of Adam Boys (Leprechaun: Origins), Kasey Ryne Mazak, Ken Tsui, Gabrielle Giraud, Steve Thackray, Dwayne Bryshun and Jason Asuncion.
Bloody Knuckles is a horror comedy that not only promises fun and gore but also wants to be freedom of expression. The provocative teaser poster depicting a hand with the middle finger up partly translates the meaning of this film and the thoughts of the director himself who says he is deeply opposed to any kind of censorship.
