Lionsgate has made available the new trailer for Blair Witch, the sequel to the well-known found footage The Blair Witch Project - The Mystery of the Blair Witch (1999) by Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sánchez. Blair Witch will arrive in U.S. theaters on Sept. 16 while it will be screened in Italian theaters on Sept. 22 (for the Italian trailer and poster please see to our previous article).
The screenplay of Blair Witch is by Simon Barrett while the direction is by Adam Wingard (You're Next, The Guest, A Horrible Way to Die).
Plot: A group of students reach Black Hills Forest, Maryland, to help one of their own, Lane (Wes Robinson), in the search for his sister Heather Donahue, who disappeared with her friends in 1999 during the filming of the documentary they were making about the Blair Witch. In the course of the night, however, a strange presence will manifest itself, triggering panic among the young people, who will realize too late that the Blair Witch is no legend.
Among the names of the cast of Blair Witch there are those of Wes Robinson, James Allen McCune, Callie Hernandez, Brandon Scott and Valorie Curry, Corbin Reid.
The film was produced by Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Keith Calder and Jessica Wu.
