As Man in the Dark by Fede Alvarez, also Blair Witch will arrive in Italian theaters in September. This is the sequel to The Blair Witch Project - The Mystery of the Blair Witch, the found footage film written and directed by Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sánchez in 1999 that became a cult hit. Directing the sequel, which will be released in Italian theaters starting Sept. 22, is Adam Wingard (You're Next, The Guest, A Horrible Way to Die) on a script edited by Simon Barrett.

Plot: A group of college students reach Black Hills Forest, Maryland to go camping. Among them is the brother of Heather Donahue, the girl who disappeared with her friends in 1999 while filming a documentary about the Blair Witch. The young man's goal is to research that mysterious location hoping to find out more about his missing sister. In the course of the night, however, the boys sense a strange presence but by the time they realize the legend is real, it is too late.
In the cast: James Allen McCune, Callie Hernandez, Brandon Scott, Valorie Curry, Corbin Reid and Wes Robinson. Production was handled by Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Keith Calder and Jessica Wu.
