Blade: The Iron Cross is the newest title to be added to the full-bodied cult saga Puppet Master conceived by Charles Band and distributed by his Full Moon. The first installment of the franchise, Puppet Master - The Puppeteer (1989) by David Schmoeller, has spawned over the years more than ten sequels directed by different directors but also the reboot Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich (2017), currently unpublished in Italy like other chapters in the series.
Directed by John Lechago, Blade: The Iron Cross is a spinoff dedicated to Blade (top image), the leader of the murderous puppets. Armed with a hook and knife, this sadistic character appears in all chapters of the saga. Blade was created by puppeteer André Toulon (the franchise's protagonist) and is possessed by the soul of a German scientist.
Plot: The puppet Blade is connected to an unspeakable evil that corresponds to the name Dr. Hauser, a murderous Nazi scientist. Discovering his heinous crimes, war journalist Elisa Ivanov awakens Blade to begin a bloody journey with him. Dr. Hauser's army of the undead will have to contend with a possessed doll and a beautiful clairvoyant seeking revenge.
Blade: The Iron Cross will premiere on Full Moon Features and Full Moon's Amazon channel in March 2020.
In the cast: Tania Fox, Roy Abramsohn, Griffin Blazi, Jarrell Hall, and Bobby Ree.
