Written by John Ridley and Sarah Smith, Black Water: Abyss (Australia, USA - 2020) is a survival thriller featuring Andrew Traucki (The Reef, "G is for Gravity" segment in The ABCs of Death) as director. The first official photo (above) is available of the film.
Black Water: Abyss is the sequel to Black Water, a film directed by Traucki himself in 2007.
Plot: An adventure-loving couple convinces their friends to explore an ancient cave system in the forests of Northern Australia. The group descends into the mouth of the cave, which, however, begins to flood due to a violent storm. Here the explorers will encounter a pack of dangerous and hungry crocodiles that will force them to fight for survival. Worsening the situation will be some long-standing secrets that, once they bubble to the surface, will destroy friendship relationships.
In the cast of Black Water: Abyss: Jessica McNamee, Luke Mitchell, Amali Golden, Anthony J. Sharpe, and Benjamin Hoetjes.
As in the previous chapter, in Black Water: Abyss the use of CGI will be limited and real crocodiles will be used.
