The sci-fi horror Black Wake (USA - 2018) sarà distribuito da Vision Films il prossimo mese. Il film sarà disponibile in DVD e per il video on demand a partire dal 7 agosto 2018 e, in occasione della release, sono stati diffusi il trailer ufficiale, il poster e alcune still.
Diretto da Jeremiah Kipp (Painkiller, The Minions, The Sadist), questo horror lovecraftiano tratta l'invasione aliena sfociando nello zombie movie. Il film è interpretato da Nana Gouvea (Blood Circus), Tom Sizemore (Assassini nati - Natural Born Killers, Strange Days) ed Eric Roberts (Ligeia, Il cavaliere oscuro).
The story sheds light on an aquatic world in which alien parasites living in the depths of the sea are able to control and manipulate the human mind.
The script for the film is by Jeremiah Kipp himself in collaboration with Jerry Janda and Carlos Keyes. In the cast of Black Wake Vincent Pastore (The Sopranos), Jonny Beauchamp (Penny Dreadful), Chuck Zito (Sons of Anarchy), Jeremy Fernandez, J.W. Cortes, Brett Azar, Rich Graff, David Gere, Kelly Rae LeGault and Brielle Edborg.
Black Wake è vincitore dell'award "Best Horror Feature Film" al Phillip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival 2018.
Trama: alcuni scienziati si riuniscono in una struttura top secret per indagare su una serie di morti avvenute sulle spiagge lungo l'Oceano Atlantico. Quando una detective entra in possesso di alcuni documenti appartenuti ad un misterioso senzatetto, la donna scopre che la vera minaccia potrebbe essere un'antica forza del mare decisa a portare follia e morte a tutta l'umanità .
