Universal has shared the poster and the official Italian trailer for Black Phone 2, the sequel to Black Phone (2021), the adaptation of the short story by Joe Hill.
Produced by Blumhouse, the film once again features Scott Derrickson (The Day the Earth Stood Still, Sinister, Deliver Us from Evil) as director while Ethan Hawke, the protagonist of the first installment, is once again the villain The Grabber.
Black Phone 2 will be released in Italian theaters on Oct. 16.
Plot: As Finn, now 17, struggles to survive after captivity, his sister Gwen begins receiving dream calls from the black phone and having disturbing visions of three boys being persecuted at a winter camp called Alpine Lake.
Determined to solve the mystery, the girl convinces her brother to travel to the camp during a snowstorm. Here they will discover the existence of a disturbing link between The Grabber and their family history.
Black Phone 2 is written by Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill. The film stars Ethan Hawke, Mason Thames, Madeleine McGraw, Miguel Mora and Jeremy Davies reprising their roles, with Demián Bichir and Arianna Rivas joining the cast.
