Scream Factory has acquired U.S. distribution rights to Bite which will take place tomorrow, May 6, 2016. On the same day, the Canadian body horror about the insect woman will be released on a limited basis in some foreign theaters and will also be available for VOD. The film is written and directed by Canadian producer and director Chad Archibald, who has previously directed other horror genre films including Kill and The Drownsman.
Abstract: Casey (Elma Begovic) is bitten by an unfamiliar bug right during her bachelorette party. Returning home, the young woman feels a strange malaise as, slowly, her body begins to mutate.
Chad Archibald and Jayme Laforest collaborated together on the film's screenplay. The cast includes Elma Begovic (Save Yourself), Annette Wozniak, Jordan Gray, Lawrene Denkers, Denise Yuen and Tianna Nori. The film is produced by Black Fawn Films, Chad Archibald's own Canadian film production company.
