Sequel to Bird Box (USA - 2018), the film directed by Susanne Bier and starring Sandra Bullock. This was revealed by Josh Malerman himself, author of the novel Bird Box (2014), from which the Netflix-branded film of the same name was based. In fact, the writer announced that the sequel to the movie will be the film adaptation of Malorie, his new literary work that continues the story started with Bird Box, with a deepening of the characters but also the creatures.

The plot of Bird Box, the screenplay of which is by Eric Heisserer (Nightmare - 2010, The Thing - 2011, Lights Out - Terror in the Dark): a mysterious force decimates the world's population and in order not to succumb it is necessary to deprive oneself of sight. Facing the unknown, Malorie finds love, hope and a new beginning only to sink into grief. The woman will try to escape with her two children to the only place where they might be saved. With courage, the three will face a long and dangerous journey blindfolded.
Plot of the novel Malorie: Twelve years have passed since the day Malorie and her children crossed the river to safety. To survive, the family is still forced to wear a blindfold, making their way through horrors and violence. The news of a surviving family member gives hope to the woman, who, however, in addition to escaping the creatures, will now face a worse threat.
In fact, some people claim to have captured the beings and subjected them to some experiments, creating even more frightening monsters. Malorie will have to make a very difficult choice: live by the rules of survival or venture into the darkness hoping to get a normal life back.
