Presented as a cross between Don't open that door and The house of 1000 bodies, Betrothed (USA - 2016)is the second feature film directed by Jim Lane (Deadly Famous aka Dead Shot). This is a thriller-horror whose story tells the tale of a family of psychopaths who kidnap a girl. The film will be available for VOD in July thanks to Osiris Entertainment.
Abstract: Audra West (Mikayla Gibson) is kidnapped outside a store by the Coopers, a deranged family. The student finds herself tied to a leash and helpless in a remote house located in a deserted town. Tortured and humiliated, the young woman is actually betrothed to Adam, the youngest member of her captors. Only escape could save her fate but escaping from that hell will not be easy.
Jeff D. Rosenberg was responsible for the screenplay of Betrothed. Instead, the cast includes Mikayla Gibson as the kidnapped girl and then again Trae Ireland (13/13/13), Omar Gooding, Reatha Grey, Joey Bell, David Brown, Elizabeth Castillo, Jamie B. Cline, Adam Dunnells, Nailya Shakirova, Bunny Gibson (Creepshow III) and also the multifaceted Bill Oberst Jr. (Circus of the Dead, Death House), a very active American actor with an interminable film career, here as one of the members of the Cooper family. Greg Munsell, Carole Vesely and Marie Lemelle, on the other hand, are the producers of Betrothed.
