Written and directed by Brad Douglas, the thriller-horror Besetment (USA - 2017) sarà distribuito in DVD il 5 settembre 2017 con Uncork’d Entertainment. La trama e il trailer di Besetment are partly reminiscent of Calvaire (for the sense of oppression generated by a dreary town inhabited by crazy people) but also the recent Slasher.com per l'ambiguità dei proprietari di un hotel.
The synopsis of the film follows:
Alla disperata ricerca di un lavoro, Amanda Millard (Abby Wathen), accetta un posto presso un fatiscente hotel situato in una cupa e triste cittadina nell'Oregon. Qui, la gentilezza dei proprietari della struttura, Mildred Colvin e il figlio Billy, lascerà pian piano spazzio alla follia e all'orrore. Per la giovane infatti scoprirà troppo tardi le loro reali intenzioni e si ritroverà a dove combattere per la propria vita.
