After a series of short films, director Audrey Cummings directs Berkshire County (Canada - 2014), his first feature film, trying his hand at horror genre cinema for the first time. In particular, Berkshire County belongs to the home invasion subgenre and in fact it is a house that turns into a real cage for the protagonist, who is attacked and terrorized by masked maniacs.
Kylie Winters (Alysa King) is a bullied teenager who agrees to babysit two children on Halloween night itself. Knocking on the front door of the isolated mansion is a young boy with his face covered by a mask depicting a pig who, however, is in no mood for trick-or-treating. In fact, along with him are two masked adults armed with sharp knives who will sneak into the house intent on carnage. It will be hard for Kylie to protect herself and the children.
They are part of the cast Alysa King, Samora Smallwood, Bart Rochon, Aaron Chartrand, Robert Nolan, Madison Ferguson, Cristophe Gallander and Leo Pady.
Berkshire County will be released in Canadian theaters next June 3.
