Warner Bros has shared the official Italian trailer for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the sequel to the cult Beetlejuice (1988).
Directed by Tim Burton (Batman, Edward Scissorhands) himself, this new chapter will arrive in theaters on September 5, 2024.
The film stars Winona Ryder reprising her role as Lydia Deetz, the character she played in the 1988 cult film that won the Academy Award for Best Makeup; Michael Keaton in his iconic role and also Catherine O'Hara (Corpse Bride). The cast also includes Monica Bellucci (Bram Stoker's Dracula), Justin Theroux (Joker), Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse, Poor Things), Jenna Ortega (Wednesday, Scream VI). The screenplay was written by Al Gough and Miles Millar, the creators of Wednesday.
Official synopsis:Â Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Netherworld is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it is only a matter of time before someone says Beetlejuice's name three times and the mischievous demon returns again to wreak havoc.
