After the first images, here is also the first teaser trailer of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the sequel to Beetlejuice, a film directed by Tim Burton in 1988.
This new installment sees Tim Burton himself (Batman, Edward Many Scissors) as the director, while the cast includes Winona Ryder again as Lydia Deetz, the character she played in the 1988 cult film and winner of the Best Makeup Oscar.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will arrive in theaters on September 5, 2024 with Warner Bros.
By his side are still Michael Keaton in his iconic role and Catherine O'Hara (Corpse Bride). Joining the cast are Monica Bellucci (Bram Stoker's Dracula), Justin Theroux (Joker), Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse, Poor Creatures!), Jenna Ortega (Wednesday, Scream VI).
The screenplay was written by Al Gough and Miles Millar, the creators of Wednesday.
Official synopsis: Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Netherworld is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it is only a matter of time before someone utters Beetlejuice's name three times and the mischievous demon returns again to wreak havoc.
