Beetlejuice 2: Winona Ryder again as Lydia Deetz in first photos from set

The first images from the set of Beetlejuice 2 in which Winona Ryder reappears in the role of Lydia Deetz, the character she played in Beetlejuice, the cult film directed by Tim Burton (Batman, Edward Scissorhands) in 1988 and winner of the Oscar for Best Makeup.
Produced by Plan B Entertainment together with Warner Bros, the film is directed by Tim Burton and filming is currently underway in London.

In Beetlejuice 2, Winona Ryder is joined by Jenna Ortega (Scream, Wednesday), who plays her daughter.
The return of Michael Keaton (Batman) and Catherine O'Hara has also been confirmed. The sequel will also introduce new characters played by Monica Bellucci (Bram Stoker's Dracula), Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse), and Justin Theroux (Joker).

Plot details have not yet been revealed.

The story of Beetlejuice (1988) follows a young married couple who die in a car accident. The two return as ghosts to their old home, which, however, is inhabited by a family of city waifs. After trying to chase them away by scaring them away, the two ghosts ask for help from Beetlejuice, a sympathetic, foul-mouthed, bumbling little spirit who is also prone to vile lusts.
