Online the sales poster for Bambi: The Reckoning, a horror retelling of Felix Salten's "Bambi, a Life in the Woods", a '42 children novel.
The film is part of the growing "Twisted Childhood Universe," dubbed the "Poohniverse," which also include Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey and its sequel, and the previously announced films Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare and Pinocchio Unstrung.
Produced by Jagged Edge Productions, the indie production company of Rhys Frake-Waterfield (the director of Winnie Pooh: blood and honey), Bambi: The Reckoning is directed by Dan Allen on a screenplay by Felix Salten and Rhys Warrington.
It is scheduled for release in early 2025.
The story of Bambi: The Reckoning features a mother and son who, after being involved in a car accident, find themselves at the mercy of Bambi: a killer deer.
